This special Peace silk scarf has been handwoven from cruelty free silk. It is known as ‘Matka’ silk, which is spun from the short fibres of the silk cocoon after the moth has hatched. It has a very different texture from conventional silk- thicker and slightly slubby but still very soft and beautiful.
They are a large scarf- more of a shawl really, measuring 70 × 180cm.
This one has been eco printed with Coreopsis and Purple Pincushion flowers all grown in my dye garden.
